Early April in Denver can include wind, snow, and rain in the forecast but for once you should welcome some gloomy April days. Keep the golf clubs in the trunk, the propane tank off, and the hiking boots in the closet because it's spring television season and it's shining bright this year. It's nice enough that our baseball game watching options just went up 1,000% this week and March Madness has been captivating to say the least but there's plenty of non-sports options that are set to captivate and they start this Sunday. You don't need social anxiety and a D&D board to enjoy Game of Thrones, which starts season four this Sunday night and is arguably the best show on TV right now. This show is another reason to subscribe to HBO and features a king's ransom of unexpected plot twists and incredible visuals. Don’t sleep on Veep, which follows Game of Thrones on Sunday and probably has the most jokes per minute of any show. Julia Louis-Dreyfus continues her Peyton Manning like career of dominating no matter the supporting cast or age. Mad Men kicks off its final season next week which is a perfect way to wind down with a glass of scotch on a Sunday night and if you aren't watching The Americans on FX, that's worth a DVR spot, too. Even new shows like Fargo and Silicon Valley have potential to create their own DVR spot. This is a lot of television to consume in an era where there is definitely too many options out there but toss in The Masters and playoff hockey in a couple weeks and there is definitely no reason to go outside unless it's to fix the reception on your satellite dish.
